Collection of personal data

The 'Addysg' learning management software collects information about how and when users are accessing resources. This information is important for both course management and to ensure that users are able to access the site. It collects error logs which indicate to the site's managers that there may be a problem. Where the online aspect of your course is managed through Addysg, your attendance record will be used to meet any requirement to keep registers.

There is a personal messaging system available within Addysg which records messages, and if there is a complaint that messages have been sent which are racist, sexist, abusive or offensive, the messages (including deleted messages) can be viewed.

Messages are not routinely checked to see what people are saying to each other - this would be considered an invasion of privacy.
